General Terms and Conditions Sounds Local1. Definitions
Sounds Local: An initiative by Sara Bax, curating and providing local music playlists for streaming, as well as facilitating legal streaming for businesses via Soundtrack.
Client: A natural person or legal entity using the services of Sounds Local, such as listening to playlists, donating, or playing playlists in a business.
Business: An enterprise (e.g., coffee shop, store) that plays Sounds Local playlists in their space via Soundtrack.
Donor: A person or business making a one-time or monthly donation to Sounds Local.
Soundtrack: An independent platform through which Sounds Local provides playlists for legal streaming in businesses.2. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Sounds Local, including listening to playlists, donations, and the use of playlists by businesses via Soundtrack. Deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed upon in writing.3. Use of Playlists
Sounds Local playlists are intended to promote local music and may only be listened to via the streaming platforms designated by Sounds Local. Businesses wishing to play playlists in their space must do so via Soundtrack and comply with Soundtrack’s licensing terms. Sounds Local is not responsible for the illegal use of playlists outside the designated platforms.4. Donations
Donations to Sounds Local are voluntary and can be made as a one-time or monthly contribution. The minimum donation amount is €5. Every donation from a business entitles them to:
-Request a Sounds Local sticker to show their support for local music.
-Request to be featured on Sounds Local’s social media channels.
Donations are non-refundable.5. Responsibilities of Businesses
Businesses playing playlists via Soundtrack are responsible for complying with Soundtrack’s licensing terms. Sounds Local only provides advice on legal streaming and is not liable for any infringements by businesses.6. Liability
Sounds Local is not liable for any damage arising from the use of playlists outside the designated platforms. Sounds Local is not liable for technical issues when playing playlists via Soundtrack or other platforms.7. Intellectual Property and Branding
All rights to the name "Sounds Local," logos, branding, and curated playlists remain the property of Sara Bax and Sounds Local. It is not permitted to use, copy, or modify the name, logos, branding, or other intellectual property of Sounds Local without written permission. Soundtrack is an independent platform. Sounds Local is not responsible for the services, terms, or content of Soundtrack.8. Privacy
Sounds Local handles personal data with care and complies with the GDPR. Donor and business data are only used for administrative purposes and to provide benefits (e.g., stickers, social media exposure).9. Disputes and Applicable Law
Disputes will first be discussed between the parties involved. All agreements are governed by Dutch law.10. Amendments
Sounds Local reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Changes will be announced via the website and/or social media channels.
